1. As I write this post I still can smell these delicious pancakes I made few hours ago. It is banana pancakes and they've turned out really delicious!
2. I take so many selfies when I shop. Anyway I was trying these pants and cropped-top sweater. Love it.

7. One weekend we had a book fair so I bought these two magazines and was really happy to be honest. :)
8. Had a nice dinner at friend's place.

Book review: The Fault In Our Stars

I've just read this book and it left me in tears and my head full of questions and the loudest on was 'How can people write this good?'
So I've heard a little about this book somewhere around last summer. I've seen it in bookstores couple times and passed right through it every single time. The book cover never caught my eyes, since with translation they changed the cover too. So I never bought it. Just recently I've seen so many posts on Tumblr, Facebook, Youtube videos etc. raving about this book. I was on Christmas break and one evening I was so bored so I decided to give it a try. I downloaded PDF file on my iPad since I got this urge to read it in English. I can't thank myself enough for that. And so it began.
The first couple pages I read with no passion at all since I thought it was exaggerated and it's going to be about teenage love I've read million books about. So I read few pages and went something to do but couldn't forget about the book. I was constantly thinking about what's going to happen next. That's how I know it's a good book. Anyway, school started I got a lot of work and didn't have time to read. Since a week ago I remembered the book after I watched the trailer for this movie. So I continued reading and fell in love with every single word. I was so obssesed with a book that I read it in few days.
The story itself isn't the boring teenage love. The story is about two young kids who, well yes, fell in love. The thing they shared was the same disease they both were cancer kids. The book shows you how young kids suffering from disease find strength to love, to make and keep friends, to follow their dreams. At first Hazel tries to protect Augustus from falling in love with her, because she doesn't want to hurt him in case she passes away. Augustus loves her enough to stick around and show her that his love is way stronger than anything in their lives. He also makes Hazel's biggest dream come true. They both and Hazel's mom goes to Amsterdam to meet the author of her favorite book and get some answers. The trip, even though they didn't get answers, brought them closer. The author of that book was really shitty person, but their conversation and his personality, I found it hilarious and can't wait to see it in the movie.

Anyway, the story ends in the way that leaves readers in tears. Augustus is the one who passes away leaving Hazel with her love for him and a letter. A letter which he didn't technically wrote to her or sent to her. He sent this letter to the same shitty author of the book they both loved. He told him about Hazel, about their relationship and his love for her. As Augustus said, even though 'the marks people leave are too often scars' and 'You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices.'
The book is really strong and touching in a way not all books can touch a reader. By reading this book you kind of built a relationship with it, the characters feel close and real. I am also really glad that I didn't buy the copy with translation but rather downloaded it and read it in English which made the book, believe me, thousands and thousands times better. I would recommend this book for literally anyone. Teenagers, parents, grandparents. It's a book worth reading and the book which leaves you in thoughts which, in my opinion, is always good.
Now I can't wait for the movie. :)
And, oh, there were so many good lines, the ones you want to quote, but my favorite, the one that I remember the first is this one:

It's a beautiful love telling you about teenage love in not a cheesy way. Read it, you won't regret it! :)
And if you have read it what are your thoughts? Maybe you would like to share? I will gladly read them in the comments section. :)

Sunset photoshoot

I waited to do this photoshoot until the snow almost turned into ice. The good thing is that the background was still white and it as still cold outside. We chose to do it in the evening so there would be a beautiful sunset. We were right.

I really loved the place it was amazing taking photos there and enjoying weather and sunset.

I took a photo of it alone it was really fascinating.
So this weekend I found out about beauty month that my local mall is holding. Of course I went there today and I got my nails did and also got few samples for new products to try out. Later on I enjoyed piña colada frappe and just relaxed. My kind of weekend.

And also few pictures of goodies from home.

I had a craving for candies (as usual) so bought few flavours of these. I picked up apple, blackberry and grape flavours, so good!

What are you guys up to this weekend? Any events or exhibitions where you are? Leave in a comments section below I will gladly read them!

Snow and smiles

My love for winter and cold weather is growing with every second, haha. So naturally we went to the park and had amazing power walk for more than hour and a half. It was about -16 degrees and it felt so nice and fresh outside.

I really couldn't say there's nothing beautiful to wear in winter, although I chose comfy and cozy outfit for our afternoon power walk to keep me warm but fresh at the same time.

The views were amazing, even though there wasn't a lot of snow, but it was still covered in white and I was so happy that cold weather finally allowed everything to feel so fresh and clean!
What do you guys think about the winter? Or maybe it's warm or even hot where you are? Share your experience with me.
See you soon!

WINTER IS HERE

I've been waiting for snow and below minus temperature for so long and it's finally here! Many things have happened since my last post and I can't wait to share them with you. First of all I am already EIGHTEEN! I still catch myself thinking about it and how fast we grow. I remember when I was a kid I always thought that being eighteen is being completely mature and grown up. All I can say that I've changed a lot and I am really happy about that.
Winter holidays have already passed and here is the winter. I'm so glad it finally came, and it snowed and temperature is below minus 10, so that's pretty exciting. I took a walk today outside after school, because I love cold and being outside makes me really happy. I took my camera with me and got a few shots.

I don't know what snow and winter have but it gets me every time. I'm so happy that winter's here. I love how cold catches your face right after you step outside. How fresh and clean I feel after breathing in cold and snowflakes. And how beautiful and calm everything looks covered in snow. Enjoy little things around you.

Few pictures from my birthday. It was amazing and I couldn't thank my family and friends more for making my special day even more special. I loved that and still do, I think it's memories that are better than any gifts (though I am really grateful for all gifts I got and all roses I received and all wishes.)
Now I have a question for you that I am curious about, what temperature outside is where you live? Do you enjoy that?
More posts coming soon! (interviews, giveaways)

1. My friend and I in the cafe before the event. We stopped to grab some coffee and ended up there sitting, chatting and laughing until it was time to go to the event. So good. :)
2. The coffee I bought was ginger bread latte. Really delicious and Christmasy and even a cup has a sweater!
3. Our Christmas Tree in Vilnius. I have to say this Christmas Tree is my all time favorite. The whole event was really good, I really enjoyed fire show and fireworks and of course our Tree. I don't know it makes me sooo happy to see this Christmas Tree and the way they decorated it is just amazing! I've seen so many Christmas Trees form other years, yet this one's my favorite.

4. One morning I woke up and it was snow outside! I was going to school and couldn't resist to take a picture. Mmm, first snow. Sadly it melted when it started to rain in the evening. Anyway, I really believe it will start snowing soon. :)

Chirstmasy Haul

Many of us are already in Christmas spirit. I know that it's only November but Christmas come and go so fast that it's nothing wrong feeling Christmas spirit in fall. Today I went shopping. One of the biggest malls had discounts which attracted millions of people. I was one of them, mostly because I got great excuse to go shopping. I really need to slow down. Anyway, mall was decorated and felt like Christmas inside. I really loved that and three Christmas trees. And so, this is what I bought.

I found this cute sweater with reindeer. I couldn't resist, the material is so soft and sweater is really warm, I am sure this little guy won't let me freeze. And it's sooo cute, I love how this reminds me of Christmas.

Also I bought this beanie. I really wanted warm beautiful beanie and I found it! I love how warm it looks and it keeps my ears and head warm. Can't wait for colder weather to wear it.

Since NYX is in stores here I couldn't resist and I bought a palette. I wanted good eyeshadow palette for holiday season and colors in this one are amazing and gorgeous. Also I bought one more nail polish. I should do nail polish collection haha. But this color was so stunning and reminded me of Christmas as well. I want to try it out!

Here is the closer look to the palatte and the name. I think it's one of the most beautiful and wearable colors. So glad I got that.

And nail polish. I will paint my nails soon and let you know how it turned out!
I hope you liked my picks this time because I am inlove! I can't wait for holidays and I'm so happy that December is coming. Winter is my favorite season of all, if I could I lived in Antartica with penguins and reindeers. Haha, I'm kidding I'll be fine with a little bit of snow. Or a lot. ;)
Anyway, let me know if you already been Christmas shopping and what you got? And oh, what is your favorite season?
See you soon!
